Ammonia Technician
Overview
Milkco is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of ammonia refrigeration systems, while adhering to safety and food safety protocols. This role includes troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM). You will work with a team on this system, so we are looking for an individual that works well in that environment and wants to contribute to our growth. This position will focus a lot of time on the PSM Program and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
- Monitor Ammonia Room and all equipment associated with this. Conduct routine inspections of this equipment to ensure proper functioning. Diagnose and repair any problems or contract with outside vendors to repair any problems.
- Implement and execute a preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Responsible for keeping the PSM Program up to date and executing this program.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Assist with Boiler Room, Air Compressor Room Ventrol Units and all equipment associated with this.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Required Experience
- 3 - 5 Years experience of Ammonia Refrigeration using general refrigeration competencies, included but not limited to ammonia systems design, installation, troubleshooting and repair.
Preferred Experience
- Associate Degree or a Degree from a Vocational School in a Maintenance Technician Program.
- 4+ Years of Continual Ammonia (NH3) Experience.
- Operator I, II & III Certificate or the ability to obtain it.
- Dairy/Food Industry Experience Strongly Preferred.

Employment Requirements:
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening (provided by Milkco).
- Will conduct a Criminal Background Check.
- Must pass an E-Verify Screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds occasionally (Normally this is with help.)
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
- Overhead work and floor work is required.
