Ammonia Regulatory Technician

The Position

The Ammonia Regulatory Technician is responsible for maintaining and updating Risk Management Program/Process Safety Management paperwork.  Updates and advises management if any portion needs change or is in danger of being out of compliance.  Will work closely with Maintenance management and safety director on status of ammonia system and RMP/PSM.  Maintains system as needed during shift.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of maintenance mechanics.  Must possess basic working knowledge of circuit electricity, plumbing skills, basic refrigeration knowledge and have ability to read blueprints.  Must also have the ability to operate forklift.  Must be willing and able to attend ammonia refrigeration training courses.  Must be able to use ammonia refrigeration software and diagnose/repair ammonia systems.  Will become Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) qualified, physical examination by doctor is required. This position requires an extensive amount of bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting.  Lifting up to approximately 100 pounds around 10% of the time.  Must possess good physical dexterity.
