The Company

Ingles Markets began in 1963 as a single supermarket and has since grown into a regional grocery store chain with just under 200 retail locations operating in 6 southeastern states, a 1.6-million-square foot distribution center, two truck fleets, and a milk processing plant. Ingles Markets’ headquarters and distribution center are located just 15 minutes outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Black Mountain.

The Position

The IT Documentation Specialist manages the quality and currency of support documentation stored by teams in the IT Knowledge Bases; understands ServiceNow functionality and provides subject matter expertise for instructional documentation across the enterprise; leads process governance for Knowledge Management. The IT Documentation Specialist facilitates and coordinates process improvement assessment and enhancement initiatives with IT Operations process owners.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision effectively and efficiently, and has strong time management, organizational, and customer service skills. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or 6 years of relevant work experience. The candidate will need to have computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs and applications quickly.  Intermediate to advanced Service Now knowledge is preferred.  Candidates should also have IT Service Management processes (ITIL) knowledge.
