The Company
Ingles Markets began in 1963 as a single supermarket and has since grown into a regional grocery store chain with just under 200 retail locations operating in 6 southeastern states, a 1.6-million-square foot distribution center, two truck fleets, and a milk processing plant. Ingles Markets’ headquarters and distribution center are located just 15 minutes outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Black Mountain.

The Position
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for assisting in the various payroll functions at the retail level. Duties will include file maintenance, data entry, and general office duties.
The Candidate
Ideal candidates will have basic math and reading knowledge. Candidates must be able to operate a 10-key adding machine and have basic computer operating skills, with a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook. Candidates with excellent organizational and communication abilities are preferred. They must also have excellent customer service and phone skills.
