Opportunity

The Assistant Produce Manager supports the Produce Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality products, excellent customer service, and achievement of sales and profit goals. In the Produce Manager’s absence, this role assumes full responsibility for department management, including staff supervision and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilites

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting with product inquiries.
  • Train, mentor, and support new hires; ensure all team members follow department procedures.
  • Manage scheduling, product sheets, and product ordering to maintain efficient operations.
  • Oversee department during Produce Manager’s absence, including staff supervision and disciplinary actions.
  • Receive, verify, and stock merchandise; maintain accurate invoices and logs.
  • Ensure displays are fully stocked, neat, and appealing; follow proper rotation and pricing procedures.
  • Prepare, package, label, and price products accurately.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively.
  • Monitor compliance with sanitation, safety, and company policies; adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Support space management plans and control damaged goods according to policy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs especially during times of high volume and/or stress.
  • Must be able to read and do simple math problems. 
  • Wants to be part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • 18 years of age or older.
