Opportunity:
The Lead Deli Associate (FT) is responsible for leading deli associates in maintaining and operating the Deli Department by taking orders and preparing fresh meals. Lead Deli Associates are familiar with all aspects of the Deli Department.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers promptly and assisting with product inquiries.

Train and guide deli associates on department procedures and standards.

Manage inventory to ensure freshness, quality, proper rotation, and minimize stock issues.

Act as second-in-command to the Deli Manager and assist with daily operations.

Receive, verify, and stock merchandise following approved procedures for storage, pricing, and display.

Prepare and maintain food items for hot/cold bars, salad, fruit, wing, antipasti bars, and customer orders (including subs, special orders, and party trays).

Slice, weigh, package, and price products accurately; check product temperatures regularly.

Promote new items and weekly specials; keep displays stocked, neat, and appealing.

Record price changes, spoilage, and voids per company policy.

Operate deli equipment and cash register in compliance with safety and cash-handling procedures.

Handle damaged or spoiled products according to policy and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Adhere to all health, safety, and company regulations; perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements section:
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Previous deli experience is required.
- SERV Safe Certification is preferred.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs especially during times of high volume and/or stress.
- Must be able to read and do simple math problems.
- Wants to be part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- 18 years of age or older.
